I love books, specially the older ones. Cause of the smell, and the feel of the paper.
I got myself a war of the worlds 1934. And a 1st print of Tchaikovsky's, the Dying Swan and the Nutcracker 1923.
How did you degausse. Did you use the button. Or like me your nose.
About the same. War stories, scifi, science books, magazines about science, atlases and maps.
I won't go nuts, when the power fails.
Ready for apocspaclipse
I hope it makes a comeback.
Also, people don't store medis anymore. No more watching bootlegs and listening to rare recordings unless they're on YouTube with 900k views are are not rare at all.
Also, if something is taken off the major platforms, like Netflix, its like it doesn't exist.
No more gifting people concerts DVDs, no more getting a CD for an awesome band for birthday, and spending hours reading the texts and admiring the arts in the panflets...
I had to choose what I wanted to listen to and bring those CDs with me. The cases often got damaged so I bought one of those sleeve cases which gradually scratched all the discs.
Now with TIdal I pay less, while the artists get paid more, it's more convenient and i have discovered vastly more music that I would ever have listened to before.
When I finish an album, Tidal makes a playlist for me. If I had to buy every CD, it would cost several thousand pounds each month. Tidal also pays more than any other medium, and pays the producers, sessions musicians, songwriters etc.
