Mariupol is a long way away from Kursk and that really comes down to whatever the Russians decide to do with people if the people are not free to decide where they can free move to due to it being a warzone and Russia does not want any more saboteurs running around disrupting train and energy supply.

Ukraine would have been happy if the US had not told them to give up the nukes and had not promised to back them up in the future if Russia invaded.

They are part of the counter offensive yes. Russian elite units from 51st Parachute Regiment & 155th Marine Brigade have also been deployed.

Kursk is a major grain producer in Russia, contributing 4% to the total grain harvest last year. Russia is the world's largest wheat exporter.

russia doesnt need to force those people, they can offer opportunities for those people to work in weapon factory or grow crop in donesk/mariupol

dude we are in september, so it is mostly harvest time for crop, so in march or april those people can seed donesk/mariupol region to grow 2025 crop

what i read kursk offensive is more political offensive than really tactical or strategical offensive, it is equivalent to tet offensive, nice for publicity, but at heavy resource cost, if it work good for them, otherwise it may bit them, at least in tet offensive vietcong was able to siege usa diplomatic mission
