I haven't had a Playstation since PSP 1. Are they worth it if you already have a big PC?

Consoles are completely dead. They're nothing but underpowered, locked-down, restricted PCs now that do nothing an actual PC doesn't do better.

1st gen PS3 was the last good one, before they crippled it with firmware update.

The current PS5 doesn't need a Pro IMO. The consoles aren't significantly underpowered like last gen with those weak AMD (non-Ryzen) CPUs. It's better to just wait for the PS6 as all of these games will be backwards compatible like a modern PC.

Hell yeah. OG PS3 was the GOAT.

Full backwards compatibility. Built in option to install Linux. Cell processor was way ahead of its time, despite being a nightmare for most developers.

PSP was also one of the best handhelds ever made. I still have two PSP 1000s with CFW. Perfect little emulation devices. Feels good in the hand. Feels good in the pocket. Only downside is battery life.

The Evercade might change my mind. The Duke Nukem collection unsullied by that Pitchford SOB looks cool, even if they wrecked the DN2 soundtrack.

i think games are very shallow in general because its exploitative to make shallow games, for example i never seen good dating games that make people make good connections together, and same can be said of dating apps themselves, they all make quick back on thirsty people, its a business really and each year it only gets worse.

Imho most stuff about gamin' is a cash grab nowadays. Or rather since the last decade. Probably even before. It wouldn´t be called industry if it wasn´t a cash grab...
