Poker rule help! i think im getting scammed out of all my money!

Hello.
My friend and I have been playing poker and he INSISTS that a pair of twos beats a pair of aces. Is this rule correct? Doesn't the ace win against twos?

His logic is that the ace is both the lowest and highest card, but if the two is on the board it is higher than the lowest card. (the ace)
but that makes no sense.

Game is texas hold em.

Your friend is wrong. And dumb (or being malicious). Pair of aces always beats pair of twos.

An Ace can be used as a high card, but it can also be used as a low card in a straight that runs Ace(1)-2-3-4-5.

So you are both correct in a way, but not in the way your friend is thinking upon your current hand. A pair of Aces can win against a pair of Twos.

The Ace is the highest card and the 2 card (Deuce) is the lowest. Unless your own hand flips it to an One, and for that to happen you would need a 2 card (Deuce).

If you or your friend don't fully understand the rules of any type of poker game you shouldn't be playing for money and instead use poker chips.
