It's the same advice as for how to deal with depression - Get busy.

It can be anything, but it's better if it's something fulfilling, like a job you enjoy doing even if for only certain parts of it. By the time you notice it, time will fly by and you shall accustom yourself to an entirely different day to day life, completely forgetting about your addiction.
You might even find it boring after a while.
