Why do porn games release on weekends?

You would think the big boy releases would come out when the majority of gamers can play games. But, no, they come out on Tuesday, on the second most miserable day of the week. Porn games, however, the waifu and 3D phub stuff, comes out on Saturday and Sunday. WTF is up with that dudes?

I guess porn game developers just thinks it makes more sense to release it on the weekend.

Would not be surprised if the statistic shows more people buy porn on the weekend so it probably is a more wise business strategy.

Game with physical releases tend to release digitally in line with their region-specific physical release days. There are exceptions, more so now than a few years ago. Games with digital only releases have no such constraints on a platform that doesn't limit when games can release.

better to release early in the week so if there are issues they can be rectified asap instead of pulling all staff in on a weekend.

This is exactly it.

I think there is also some sales chart data shenanigans in place in some countries too. Like the UK maybe? Where if you release on the final days of the week you won't as easily be in top spots of charts for that week, which isn't as great for bragging to your shareholders.

i dont think its just exclusive to that gerne. it is just way safer to publish near weekend as people tend to check out stuffs to buy more in free time

Yeah, this was my first thought as well. The weekend is a perfect time to release this type of game. People tend to have more time on their hands then (pun intended).
