Why do women hate men who play video games?
This was the most unattractive hobby for men when rated by women. A red flag, deal breaker. Gambling as a hobby was rated as being less unattractive.

So you could go out and lose a couple grand playing the slots and that would still be more attractive to a woman than playing Space Marine 2. Heresy.

Why?

Gaming is an easy, endless addiction and escape for many men, which can translate into them becoming lazy, irresponsible, and non-interactive. Even I, a female gamer, do not like my bf becoming that interested in games because I've seen the damage it does.

I've had the preference for over a decade that if my bf chooses a video game over me, i pce outty.

Why do so many guys dislike my massive Hello Kitty collection decorated around my house? She doesn't bite, only kiss. :>(

That's an excellent point but that could also translate to social media in general.

Social media applications are gamified and they feed on the dopamine that users experience watching or interacting with the content.

Millions of women are addicted to social media and building shrines to themselves.

Material women (pretty common) don't like any hobby that won't in some way indirectly or directly benefit them.
That doesn't mean every woman hates video games.

i dont like games, i think it creates a lot of toxic behavior where you get thirsty or jellous while no one is around, i think many times i wish it was me that people play with rather then their silly games cause it feels a waste of time on both ends.

the funny thing is this never happened until there was "espots" and "ranked matches"...

even back in COD days when people were grindin for the unlocks, it was never as toxic as when the decided to compare peoples performance to each other in ranked settings.

now you have massive toxicity because everyone thinks they're some esport legend lol.

you know how you make a lot of money in a gold rush? by selling pickaxes.

you'll never sell more than you will to people who think there's even a slim change that investment might see some return some day maybe...

edit: also who gave me the clown? I want to give you my points... I don't need them :)

the quantity of times I've seen married peoples where gaming was not a problem or where both persons enjoyed gaming I don't think that this represent a majority.

of course once in a while you get some twitter weirdo claiming that gaming is horrible and is a waste of time because of weird reasonings but it's usually very stuck up peoples that has this no fun allowed mentality where everything they do has to bring them profits.
The main stream will try to convince you that 50% of gamers are women, but that is definitely a lie. In real life, you'll probably meet 1/30 women play video games while 5/10 men play video games. This is why many games aimed at women fail miserably because the audience just isn't their. Mobile games for women have a much higher success rate, like candy crush or some mobile fashion game.

Which makes no sense.

Literally everyone plays a game or two on their phone. That doesn't make you a gamer. That just makes you a bored person standing in a line.

Yeah, most of the serious gamers are men.
Gaming needs more concentration than the average hobby and more time commitment, People will stop gambling when they run out of money, but they can go 17 hours a day when gaming.

It's the "serious" part women have a problem with I'm guessing, not the "gamer" part.

My advice? Sell all your gaming devices and keep one handheld gaming device to play a couple of hours playtime a week.

You will realize how much of a time sink is and break the addiction.

correct - most date-worthy females find it appalling

actually, a fellow could have numerous felonies, cross-addicted to crank & booze, beat on ladies, be a real scumbucket - and still rank higher than a gamer

yes, because gambling a gal could either accept or try to *cure* you of

in-a-nutshell: $$$

>> if a fellow enjoys gaming then he isn't devoting time, sweat, blood, and most importantly *money* towards a female who is dating
