Tell me, what uniform do Hamas fighters wear to make them easily identifiable as enemy combatants? Last I checked, they dressed as civilians, moved in crowds of civilians, and attacked from behind civilians. Meaning, completely indistinguishable from civilians. Do you know who this behavior puts at risk of being mistaken as terrorists? Actual civilians. Yet, absolutely no blame is placed on the people who disguise themselves as civilians, and shoot people.

Does anyone here actually believe Hamas cares about civilian casualties? That they're actually fighting to defend innocents? That they're not funded by billionaires in Qatar to wage a politically motivated proxy war?

You made the claim Israel indiscriminately shoots innocent, peaceful civilians. And the evidence shows that wasn't a peaceful protest but a violent riot. Geneva convention and ICC rules are readily available for you to look up. Being violent towards troops in a warzone places you firmly under the definition of a combatant. Maybe don't bring violence to warzones? Easily avoidable by anybody with a smidge of common sense.

Well, i did read more than the linked article, and this one depicts "shots fired from 100 to 200 meters range". I didnt want to dig it up and confirm or infirm it, because ... it just follows a pattern that i've seen many times, so it falls (for me) in the category "very plausible". Oy, it can very well be an echo chamber that blinds me to the reality, but sometimes, you just have to move on, y'know ?

cause i've already pointed out to things like "IDF soldiers pestering arabs children on the way on school" and "interviewer with cameraman shot with tear gaz nades on a empty field from 70+ meters away". So, let's just think about what is "violent towards the IDF" means : usually, it means 'breathing in the same general geographical area as them". Then they do the pikachu surprised face when they are stoned. Then they retaliate with real bullets. Then they are surprised why there are terrorists retaliating in the only way possible for them to survive : guerilla warfare.

Edit : there is a major thing most people seem to have a complete blind spot on : all the people of Gaza and West Bank, since the beginning of the IDF special operation of it's own last year, have all suffered, lost peeps, have time to gather some hate towards the IDF, and the Israel State.

They all have, at one point or another, caressed the thought to retaliate. That's human. That's just human. Some of them had a thought of joining Hamas, by now.

Some will, one day, if they survive. Had the long buldozing operation not happend, those would just have been usual civies for the rest of their life. So, some will join Hamas, or just create a new Hamas-like thing.

So, the Israel just created the next generation of Hamas, congrats on it, they are far better than the US at fostering an "forever war". Take notes, US politicians :p
