RTS games with a good campaign
I've played a good few of 'em already, but I'd like to know if I missed some. Anyone got recommendations? Steam and GOG only, please.
I've played:

Every existing Command & Conquer except the mobile and unmentionable one
Dawn of War I and II
Age of Mythology
Age of Empires I and II
Company of Heroes
Total Annihilation
KKND
8- and 9-bit Armies
Warcraft II
Rise of Nations
Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds
Metal Fatigue

Closing note: Any game which doesn't have
1) Base building
2) Resource gathering
3) Unit production
in real time is not an RTS. Total War games are not RTS.

Also fun just mucking about in maps against the bots. Decent bot settings. Ability to remove nukes that can kind of spoil things. I prefer to remove nukes so it isn't just a race to get nukes.
Sup Com 2 has some cool units but I think I prefer the overall campaign in 1 better. It's like a tutorial in a sense.

Playing with bots on maps after that is where you can use whatever rather than tech being limited to storyline.
Starcraft, Warcraft 3.
I enjoyed Grey Goo, even though the responses seem mixed on it.
The Homeworld games.
Impossible Creatures
Empire Earth Gold (GOG)

I prefer Forged Alliance.

Oh you are absolutely correct.
I thought it was on the same game page as an add on to the game but steam has it as its own game.

I don’t have to suggest, just check my most played game

i think red alert

so you want world in conflict ?
Warcraft 3, before the Blizzard bastards ruined it.

Dune 1 and 2, obviously. The father of all RTS.

Dune, Warcraft and Starcraft.

There was an old game called Crush, Kill and Destroy but it's as retro as the original Command and Conquer.

Dude I like your taste in gaming.

Btw, if you have enjoyed AoE and are into retro RTS games, you should give Empire Earth a try. You can only find it on gog, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. It’s like AoE but with 14 epochs.

Don’t bother with EE 2 & 3 though. They are garbage.

I see that it’s already been mentioned but you should give it a try.

There another two games come to mind no one said which are unique gameplay.

There Warshift haven't played into it enough, but it's an RTS, as well you can control units 1st person.

Then there Planetary Annihilation which is little crazy neat since can have war across planets, or take out planets.

Played it, but the GOG version crashes when you start the mutant campaign. Also, the AI cheats way too much. I think I hit mission 8 or 9 with the Survivors where I just end up swamped with units on a much higher tech level than mine.

Played both Blizzard's classic RTS' back in the day. Where do I get Dune and how to prevent Worms from eating my Harvesters?

Will give EE a go, thanks for the heads-up!

I'll have a look, thanks for the input!
Even if I didn't reply to every post, thank you all very much for your input so far!
OP, do you like games like "they are billions?" games with a focus on defense primarily with all the other aspects?
If so, They Are Billions (as mentioned)
and Diplomacy Is Not An Option.
I'm going to throw in

Kohan
Warlords Battlecry

And actually best of all, Sacrifice

Branching campaign, Tim Curry and the rest of the best voice actors, massively underappreciated

https://store.steampowered.com/app/38440/Sacrifice/

And yes it's absolutely an RTS
