That could be literal poison or just rendering it unusable.
So what I would do once 'awakened' is stay in the matrix but focus on spreading around the knowledge and methodologies of that poison (whether literal or figurative). Once enough of the supply is toxic to the harvesters, the matrix is no longer usable, whole thing starts to collapse and mass-escape becomes inevitable.
That's a better strategy imo than trying to escape and fight off some super advanced race all by yourself or in a small group, or worse - escaping and leaving everyone else to their fate.
No interest in staying complacent.
When somebody pulls the plug on simulation you would be gone for good.
'he can make the simple act of taking his coat off into an act of rebellion'.
- I would stay just to rebel from within.
it is not just me.. it is an entire mankind thats enslaves.
I would want to escape and destroy. those machines.. if neccecairy burn it all.
better a crappy real life than a fantastic dream
and better to both go down.. than strike a deal will the machines.
the machines must die.
so rather than trying to convince humans to leave the matric (which i would also set manpower to) I be attempting to destroying the cloning facilities and cut the powercord.. killing man and machines at the same time.
better death than slave.
Plus, you'd have to deal with cold, heartless machines trying to kill you once you're of no further use to them.
And living in eternal paranoia, wondering if anyone around you (including a loved one) is going to suddenly to turn into an armed superhuman Government Agent with supernatural powers that starts trying to shoot and kill you (able to erase the event from the memories of anyone in the area, so even strength in numbers can't help you).
(Remember, you're not going to be able to do what Neo does. He has special privileges as The One, likely higher permissions in the "server")
The outside world (i.e. Zion) is hard living, but at least the humans around you are actual humans and your brothers/sisters-in-arms. No need to worry about an Agent suddenly being there with a gun pointed at you.
More like .Hack, if all of humanity was trapped in the Total VR modern world version of the game from birth, and lived their whole lives thinking it was the real world.
Only for a few to break free and exit to the real world, the dark and barren wasteland that it became.
Let's hijack it!
Yes, you ever seen the film The Great Escape?
It is a tribute film dedicated to those of The Great Escape rather than a 100% accurate historical drama. Anyway as they said in that 'with all of us running about, it will throw a spanner in the works'.
