Games about unchecked capitalism?
Which games warn about the dangers of unchecked capitalism like Cyberpunk 2077?

I love Cyberpunk 2077 and Bioshock, any other game that warn about the dangers of unchecked capitalism?

If it's unchecked capitalism you want, look no further than that one and it's online. The dev and publisher can't stop won't stop milking.

ah yes. the near perfect depiction of what living in LA feels like.

gta is like the best parody of america out there, or on topic, american capitalism for some reasons.

odd to think that, at least in my experience, there's no game that mentioned land and land ownership and how it's related to capitalism. the closest we got is monopoly board game but the rules were changed to be about zero sum game rather than the emphasis of land ownership.

for example, in real life, mcd is a fast food franchise as much as they are a real estate company. they're very big but also lack quality control and basically generating money via renting. compared to in-n-out where they are consistent and high in quality but only open in the west coast area.

a lot of unchecked capitalist games tend to be about why this one or two companies are so evil and big (while also giving false impression to early zoomers that it promotes communism somehow), why greed kills, but rarely mention how this was enforced and exploited outside of the government's intention. a lot of these games tend to feature public companies framed as something indifferent from private company, while somehow never mention land.

but that's my experience so far. if you ask me, bioshock could've been about how idealism doesn't translate well and how going to the extreme only makes you a villain and a hypocrite. whatever, i hate ayn rand. fallout is full on anti-war. cruelty squad is... umm... imagine the whole wef "you'll own nothing" boogaloo but biological.
