What's wrong with you? Why would you do that to your keyboard/controller?
What's wrong with people that they can't eat without getting everything dirty?
Let me ask you this:

About how long does it take a new keyboard to become shiny?

A powerful PC, a big ass monitor that's at least 120hz, wireless mouse, wireless headphones and a large mouse pad you can put your keyboard on.

PS. And a big desk.

The keyboard and mouse need to consider the possibility they might get gunked up. Yes, there is a chance. But what happens when you want to both eat and play at the same time? What do you do? Do you go for it?
Something i read in the loading screen of a game:

"Try carrot sticks as a gamer snack, healthier and doesnt leave you with greasy fingers" or something like that.

I personally dont eat anything while i play but if i did, it would be something like that.

Water (just keep it a safe distance so if it spills, no harm will come to your pc)

Music, lofi....so you can chill and relax in a game if you want.

I typically only play music if I am playing an mmorpg, which I haven't played in a while. I'll likely just give all my gold away in those games.

Take a 20 minute break every two hours and walk away from the screen or look away, get other things done.

Make sure your room isn't too dark, leave a light on behind you that doesn't cause glare, or put it behind your monitor facing away from your eyes obviously. This helps reduce strain on your eyes

Lastly, I love a second monitor, but an external hdd or ssd I would recommend, along with two sets of headphones. One for watching stuff on your pc if you want, dedicated to media and non-gaming, and then get a wireless one.

The idea is not to put wear on the headset you use to game. Sometimes I I just want to lay down and watch a show....but I also don't want to create noise for others nearby

¶Motivation
¶Health
¶Free time
¶Safety

These requirements don't change with time.

I honestly avoid both of those things even though they are like insanely popular lol.
A good chair...... Nothing worse than getting a numb arse in the middle of a boss fight!

A drink hat.

A high quality monitor. Doesnt matter if you have a 4090, if your monitor is no good your 4090 might aswell be an igpu. You see everything thru your monitor so make it a good one.

Nothing is strictly needed, you work with what you got or can afford. Won`t make you a worse gamer not having all the shiny accessories or the most powerful PC.

Nothing is essential, not even the computer itself

Get a good Chair. Do not get those Gaming Chairs, they are overpriced garbage that offer no back support.
Get a good Office Chair. They are designed for people sitting long times and support the back.
