Idk why the game wasn’t successful. After watching non biased reviews on the game, it seems it’s actually a good game. I think people /content creators are the reason the game did poorly. The bandwagon mentality and all. I find it very unfortunate for the people that spent money and actually enjoy the game that their game will be shutdown because of this bandwagon mentality that I do believe was responsible for the games downfall. Fortunately people will get a refund. But this also supports my dislike for online only games. With online only games it’s own form of DRM it doesn’t matter if you like the game. The company can just decide whenever they want to make your game unplayable and it’s really messed up. This will happen to helldivers as well eventually as no always online game lasts forever. Just look at what happened to halo 3, no need for that. It would be nice if there was an offline only mode for Concord so people can still enjoy it somewhat. Concord simply put, was yet another team shooter game that wasn't even free to play. It doesn't matter what small details it may have, if its online only without any offline content, costs money and is a game that does things that others do better, there's nothing in it for me. Characters being bad would probably be the most fun thing about it which is just sad.

A large part of the appeal of games like this is the characters and unfortunately the characters were pretty bland and/or ugly. The high price tag likely didn't do the game any favours either especially when all of the competitors are free to play.

I will agree that the character in that video looks like it would be fun to play as far as the gameplay goes.

im a gamer for over 20 years on steam alone. a lot of games i have play but never concrd. y u ask? i wasnt sure if to buy when all reviews are mixed. so i decide to wait some time let it rest, sleep on it.

Apparently they can if a multi-million dollar game I only just learned about moments ago was shut down within two weeks, seemingly because of public backlash. Now nobody gets to play it, irrespective of if they would like to do so or not.
