it's not really about how good it is. it's about how effective the concept is. and capitalism is very good at it. just depends on the intention i guess.

it plays around what people is very good at. a blacksmith makes a living getting resources by himself and work on it by himself to make a nail for example. it's not efficient because he wasted his time getting resources. so why not buy the resource instead and focus solely on the production? then sell it to those who need the product to build cities or better equipment that streamlines the production? that's the main idea.
Long story short: it is a good idea but the execution has turned most of the world into a corporate dystopia. So, it's only good if done by the book.
anything dealing with non-living things is kinda bad, idk what good is it to study the flux on objects in the universe, same as astronomy can be downright boring and depressing.
With regulations in place to break up monopolies, yes
Gotta love big businesses killing the small ones.
Capitalism is not traditional to any part of the world and is a culturally caustic revolutionary ideology. Capital is good, capital owners as the dominant political force is less clear.
So much trash to filter through on here these days
Pure capitalism is trash. Market socialism is where its at.,

Over 10 million border crossings in a very small time frame says it must be good. They sure as hell didn't go to Canada.

Those same "border crossings" are why the average US citizen can't have proper healthcare and higher education nor basic worker rights like in normal countries.

Edit:
US corporations especially LOVE illegal immigrants, because they can be blackmailed into accepting far worse work conditions than the average US citizen.

talking outside of the US, other countries seem to benefit from big tech companies somewhat. and if you ask me, I'd talk about land hoarders and whatever the hell blackrock is doing than talking about something useful often mistaken with something evil because of how flawed the system is

but again, i can tell which is capitalist and which is not. vault tec? they're fascist/corporatist because the enclave. midgar/shinra from ff7? they're corporatocratic so i guess our friends being terrorists makes sense. lego movie? it's the same.

Wouldn't really be so easy if big business didn't get the breaks, grants, and exemptions that small businesses don't. Case in point "too big to fail" where the government decided some corporations had more of a right to exist than others. And for the record, that isn't capitalism once government starts picking winners and losers. It's fascism by Mussolini's definition, on it's way to socialism.

when people say that fallout is "anti capitalist", i know ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ happens. I'm no lore buff but i dig to the lore long enough to conclude that the kind of America they have is fascist. plus, it's still anti war
