Just in case anyone wonders: Here is the 'death box' map that surrounds The Great Plateau if you try to leave too early:

https://imgur.com/wiowl6U As you can see it's a rectangle box that sticks out a little bit. I wonder if they planned this right from the beginning or if it was in their delay they added this void zone as testers kept leaving the arena too early and messing the game up.

It's an area that's further out that voids the player out if they do NOT have the paraglider. The game constantly checks it as it's hardlocked.

The Great Plateau is the tutorial part of BOTW but it's pretty big in itself. It's like an entire N64 game if we cut off the rest of the regions.
