In case nobody noticed yet there are 6 choices for president on the ballot with an empty spot for a write-in(which you could write in one of the 6 candidates just to screw with the ballot counter)

It´s the same than here. There´s a plethora of parties, but the votes will be about the same main parties all the time. Reason: 5% hurdle (which is something specific for here, so it doesn´t make sense to vote for a party which You think wouldn´t get at least 5% of the votes, which is basically every small party), and the media presence of these parties (which works everywhere the same). People tend to not vote for something which they don´t know. Usually they don´t even talk about it.
