pride month is about the pride you have in figuring yourself out, the pride you have in being able to come out of the closet, or make steps to live a life more in line with who you are, in regards to queerness
straight people don't have those struggles to overcome
they're considered the "default"
you don't have to come out as straight, you don't have to realize you're straight, you don't have to put extra effort in living a straight life, because those are the things society expects you to do
most people already show you straightness, most people already assume you're straight
you live in a society where straightness is so normalized that you probably don't even realize it
so, what is there to be proud about?
really, most of the time, "straight pride" isn't about pride, but rather about contrarianism, or about making things about yourself
and that's the crux of the issue
Exactly the same could be said for gay pride.
idk god seems like he doesn't really know what he wants most of the time. first he's telling abraham to kill his kid, then when he's about to do it he sends his angel to stop him. yeah i know he was just testing his faith or whatever. but you know i think there's a better way to test it than telling him to kill his son. what if the angel was running late and isaac was already dead by the time it got there, hm?
