Modding your games.
What're your thoughts on modding games.

Do you ever do it?

Yeah, sometimes. Skyrim has some quest mods that are downright written better than the base game quests. You can make the game almost next gen looking with graphic mods.

I used to mod Minecraft a long time ago, and add things into the game that are now officially in the game pretty much.

A little while ago, I modded a game called Wildermyth to increase random events in the game.

XCOM has mods that completely change the game.

I will stop because I can keep going. Mods can really enhance the experience, but it really depends on the game. Some games hardly benefit from them, so it depends on what you're playing.

OH, I forgot to mention that some games can be hell to mod and expect the game to work. Especially when you start making a list of mods.

I mod single player/off-line games that I've played a lot of just to give the game more life with variations. It's fun to mess around with game changes.

Why would I? The person who lists mods I like on my user look up, ever mod a game?
Yes, we need Stellar Blade on PC

Far too much.
Only if the game is broken and modding is necessary in order to play it.

Vanilla DMC3 port, Prototype, Alone in The Dark which couldn't run for me even modded etc.
People who don't might as well be plebeian console gamers.

Why have you got to? I didn't do it and didn't feel any need to.

Pretty much every Bethesda game was released badly broken and requires community patches to run well.

Mine ran well without mods. Zero problems.

Na, the base games work well enough. Those patches mostly just get all the bugged quests and quest items to work properly. Which it might be annoying to have glitched items in your inventory permanently, but that isn't really within the realm of badly broken. As you only get a few every hundred or so hours of play in vanilla bethseda games.

Honestly, content is usually the go to for modding. Enderal is a Skyrim mod on Steam that's basically a whole new game. I don't even know if I'd just call it a mod considering it's got it's own store page, two technically for the two different versions of Skyrim.
