What're your thoughts on modding games.

The Sims 4, i can not stand the barbie doll, hand holding and padded room nonsense the developers have at play on their game. I run MCCC, NPCC, Wicked Whims and other modifications just to make it a bit more life-like.

fun before, but nexus mod turn to be woke, so i try to find new mod website, seem steamworkship may be good alt

I've added hundreds of mods to Oblivion and have learnt how to use the construction set to create my own. I'm currently working on a spawn overhaul mod for Stalker CoP Misery which will be finished in a few weeks.

Skyrim was the most modded game I have played, plan on doing it with Fallout 4 sometime in the future. Beyond that, just a few audio mods in Stellaris. I don't like it when they update the game and you have to figure out how to fix it after, which is why I haven't mess with too many.

If I could, I would bet money that everyone has had some problem with Skyrim at some point.

If I mod a game, it's usually for QoL improvements initially. But that tends to open the door for content mods as well.

Most games now will disable Achievements if you use mods, but I'm not a completionist, so that doesn't matter much to me.

My three/four most modded games are Rimworld, Skyrim, and ATS/ETS2.

Depends on the game and what mods are available. PAYDAY 2 as an example has a good heap of mods from custom guns and maps to more cosmetic stuff like new HUDS as well as cheat mods which I won't name for obvious reasons. PAYDAY 3 I got a different HUD mod for it since I don't think there are that much mods for that game yet.

For mods in online games like PAYDAY I take the approach that as long as you aren't in a public lobby and you're solo or with friends who know what's up, do whatever as long as you don't like intentionally disrupt random players or break games for vanilla players.

I usually do it after I've played the game for a while and want something fresh, people have great ideas, I actually like building a modlist and making sure everything works fine for hours just to never pick up the game again.

Yes, I heavily mod Kerbal Space Program and Minecraft, I haven't gotten around to other games.

Make all the girls look super sexy like in Stellar Blade.
Make all the boys look super edgy like they are from a 2000s Industrial/Synth music band.

Biggest curse in gaming? By giving players new options, fixes, and even sometimes new games being made from them, they are a curse?

DOTA 2 for instance, wouldn't even exist without mods. And many indie developers were former modders, which made mods for certain games, or romhacks for older console games.

I don't like repeating myself but... a number of mods and their users would disagree with you, so here's an expanded list

Rise of the Reds, Mental Omega, Contra, Tiberium Essence, Shockwave, Dawn of Tiberium Age (Command & Conquer franchise).
Unification, Elite MOD, Crucible MOD (Dawn of War franchise)
Torchlight II and Grim Dawn (Games with hundreds of mods)
Oni anniversary edition.
RogueTech (Battletech)

And that's the games I know.
