It's happening all over the world and has been happening much longer than angry gen zers want to admit. Longer than they have been alive, in fact.

It's been several generations since the growth of the job market has matched population growth. Trying to lay the blame at one door is just political expediency.

It´s usually some "social component" in other societies, which here are about that if You need to fire people - You fire those which are new in the company, or those which don´t have family - or those which don´t have relatives / good friends within the company.

Poor social skills are more about spamming threads about the same topics, and it doesn´t depend on the generation You´re in.

Also there´s no evidence that Genz Z is more lazy than every other generation. But there´s evidence that workers themselves don´t fight for their rights any more. But rather blame anybody but themselves for the situation.

also colleges are turining into degree mills. I know of a prestigious private college that is trying to get student's with a BA degree within 3 years and barely providing them with practical knowledge.

Degrees aren't that special anymore since half the people applying for jobs have them now. Skills and experience get jobs.

Social skills and relationships to be more precise. And of course low demands about the own life. And some work life balance which is about: work + time to sleep, eat and be more fit for the work = lifetime.

I was going to say something similar. Once people are adults, or even teens, think going online is fine, but to start life on the internet doesn't teach skills essential to learn at an early age
