Usually You can assume that games at a certain date are made with a certain hardware in mind. And anything which is Triple A or made to sell many units - is probably also made that way, that it makes use of the hardware to provide the most possible eye candy, which is what people care most about - above anything else by far.
Try these instead;

Edit also keep in mind that that scales alters with the progression of new hardware
This game is low spec. I actually played Nier Automata on my laptop which I bought 5 years ago.
did you turn the resolution till its the lowest possible and still full screen ?
If you want games that are friendly on weaker hardware, you'll almost exclusively find them to be in Indie and AA games.
yeah. if the recommended ram is 8 gb ram i can play it. if it is 16 gb ram then its a nope. i remember playing night runners demo with full upgradw car. as i speed through 300 km+ my laptop just crashed which never happened when i play monster hunter world.
My main laptop at the moment is a Lenovo ThinkPad T420, a business laptop from around 13 years ago. For basic tasks such as web browsing and light programming, it's still pretty usable which is why I still use it. It has an Intel Core i5 2520M, 8GB RAM, a 240GB SSD, and I currently run openSUSE Tumbleweed on it with the Enlightenment desktop.
It's GPUs (Intel HD 3000 and NVIDIA NVS 4200M 1GB) are completely useless when it comes to any modern games. Even Minecraft doesn't run particularly well on the computer and settings have to be turned down drastically for a playable framerate.
Chances are whatever you have is a decent bit more powerful than my ThinkPad.
In the minimalist list, I have these games in my library :
Dorfromantik, SUPERHOT, Baba Is You, Mini Metro, Townscaper, 112 Operator, 911 Operator, Antichamber
(I have over 600 hours in Baba)In the retro list, I have these games in my library :
Undertale, Celeste, Half-Life, Final Fantasy VI, Sonic Mania
(I have over 60 hours in Undertale on PC and replay it with friends or young relatives who I read to)In the Pixel Graphics list, I have these games in my library :
Terraria, Enter the Gungeon, Barony, Starbound, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Aseprite
I have over 1000 hours in Terraria. In the 2D list, I have these games in my library :
Bloons TD 6, Don't Starve Together, Muse Dash, Plants vs. Zombies GOTY Edition, BattleBlock Theater, Oneshot
I have replayed Plants vs. Zombies more times than I would like to admit...Don't Starve Together randomly crashes my current computer so I avoid playing it.
Runs well ...except when it doesn't.
That's not my entire collection from these lists. Those are just the ones that I thought were worth mentioning.
I haven't played all of them. I'm more-so vouching for quality than I am for functioning well.
My computer is old and desperately needs me to move on from it. Despite this, it still ran these games really well :
The Magic Circle, Snakebird, Fairune Collection, The Stanley Parable (original version, not Ultra Deluxe; Ultra Deluxe is bad on my PC)
