What does HD mean in gaming names?
Gamertags, steam gamertags, etc.

it could mean anything ... what games have HD at the end of them ? Names as in aliases ? Names as in game tittles ? What are you referring to ? Not many games have HD in the name of the title . Be more specific ... what's the name of the game you were referring to and i can look it up and figure out what it means. HD in gaming can refer to the screen resolution of 1920x 1080 which is HD for HI Definition . That means its 1920 x 1080 pixels length and width of screen . Gaming names as in the title ? Who knows ... I've never heard of a single game on pc with HD in its name .

Gaming names means gamer tags. If I was talking about games it would say games. Steam gamertags etc.

You don't usually see gamers use it from what I see with gamertags or profile names. It might just be them mimicking when games do it. Castlevania HD and Kingdom Hearts HD remix for example. When games do it, it means High Definition because previously the game or franchise was using 480p or lower resolutions.

If it's not apparent what it means, it means nothing.

You're totally overthinking this, I think. Because why would two random characters in a random nickname on the internet be of any relevance to anything? Is there any point to know what that one user means with that nickname? Or is there any other reason why that would be of interest to you for that matter?

How could that possibly be of interest to you?
