I just don't understand the guy. He lives in filth. He is a millionaire but chooses to live like someone less than a week from not paying rent for 12 months straight.

I dunno. He has some funny clips, and those became memes, which are in turn included in other funny meme videos about gaming. I've never actually watched any of his shows, but that's how I know him.

If I had to guess, I'd say that he either is really totally into being a gamer, because we all make a mess and ignore other priorities when we're playing something really good, or he's just keeping the image to cater to his audience.

I don't understand why *any* streamer is popular on this level. The fact that they can get 100k's/millions of $ for this garbage is just another sign of how screwed up our timeline is.

(like that moron who crashed his $200k car in Florida - while texting & speeding in the rain, and *filming* it - who apparently earned all that money being a jerk on video. wtf is wrong with people.)

I'm running a certain channel in a certain niche, used his content a few times, it got me good views, so I have a good opinion about him cuz he printed me money.

Asmon just learned how to work the system, developed a persona, and is probably surprised himself at the length at which his "career" has lasted. No doubt there is work and countless hours put into all of it, but its all an act. Where does his cash flow go, because its not his living conditions or his self image, or belongings. Interesting fella. Tends to cover more drama than I care about though. I tune more into the retroplays and quieter folks.

I don't know why people hate asmongold. I only ever see short clips from him and I don't remember a take from him that hasn't been spot on.

Oh and he has very similar taste in games with me.
