You will always regret tattoos at some point in your life.
What you find cool now, is going to be not so cool anymore in 10 or 20 years time.
Tattoos are permanent. You also don't choose a shirt and pants to wear permanently for the rest of your life, right ?
There is basically no sense or logic in tattoos at all. Unless it is something very very personal and unique that helps you mentally with something, like a memorial on someon e who died or an event that impacted you forever like a military tour to Iraq or what not. Just to name examples.
But to get a tattoo because " it looks so cool " is definitely going to be a big REGRET kind of thing.
At least you can get them removed by laser. But it's not cheap.
its not cheap and you are going to see scars depending of the size.
Just don't do it is my advice...tattoos are only cool for a year or two max, then you regret it, which often ends up in people trying to make themselves believe it was right, by adding even more tattoos.
The artist you choose plays just as much of a role. The act between you both is sacred.
To suddenly choose a shop and slap a tattoo on happens all the time, but it speaks volumes to the way those people view their lives and selves.
Just my 2ct
You can get so many styles and your own designs.
Anyway as it was said by others, if you do get a tattoo then best if it is something really meaningful for you rather than just "looks cool" but you do you in the end
appreciate your input, tunnel rat
did you get a blackout sleeve as your first?
And did you think 'I need other peoples advice to tell me how I might feel' while getting it done?
(that is not a dig OP )
My first tattoo meant something ~(DO NOT DO THIS ANYBODY)~ my friend carved it out on my arm with ink on the blade and on the pin.
did the other arm too and I picked one arm off to see if it could be picked out.
we were intellectual back then.
A proper artist would know how to check first as it is their business. Even if it was a lets try this little spot here first kind of check.
I was expecting you to say it was a regiment tattoo to be honest and that is my interrogation done.
