Would you live near/on a cemetery?

I seen a news article about this really nice house that's free to live in but you have to maintain the cemetery it's built on (mostly like lawn care/snow removal). A lot of comments on the article though said they would never be able to live in a house with corpses nearby.

I grew up in the old parts of rural New England and it's not uncommon for some older homes to have "family graveyards" on them, where our forebears are buried. Many of the homes around where I grew up had them. I never gave it much thought but I guess I can see how it would bother people.

Would you be able to live near a plot of land with the dead buried in it or no?

What means maintain? Like doing actual work there? Does it mean living for free - or for super low rent?

I wouldn´t be worried about the bodies or graves - or whatever rotten dead creatures are in some garden, but rather this.

Cemeteries are huge, so that would be a lot of work for that free house :P

Nowhere is it as quiet and peaceful as in a graveyard. Funny, somehow.

I used to have a cemetery down the road when I was a kid. Probably like a two minute walk. The only reason I couldn't see it was due to trees.

I would never live near a cemetery. Too many people partying there, I'd never get any sleep.
