i'm simply suggesting that the writers were robots and that red dwarf's writers probably were too, minus the toaster pilot.
I like the earlier series when most of the humour comes from Rimmer's hatred towards Lister and Lister's nonchalance. Beyond series five Rimmer and Lister bicker less and become more like team mates which doesn't have the same tension.
As it was the beginning of this masterpiece, and I love the way they introduce Cat.
