Do you people still collect Physical Media? If so, recommendations for Blu-Ray/4K
Wondering if any of you peps watch and collect physical media? I grew up with my parents and my grandparents owning DvDs which I do still use, and the fact that rates of streaming media is becoming more expensive and film/tv licences keep expiring. I do love owning my physical media collection as it gives me something to look forward to any other day.

James Bond Collection 1 to 25 - Blu-Ray
Band of Brothers/The Pacific Boxset Blu-Ray
Chernobyl HBO Blu-Ray
Fistful of Dollars/For A Few Dollars More Blu-Ray
Classic Doctor Who serials (Power of the Daleks/Abominable Snowman/Web of Fear) Blu-Ray
Classic Doctor Who Season 8 Blu-Ray
Doctor Who Peter Cushing Films Blu-Ray
The Thing, Arrow. Blu-Ray

No Time to Die 4K
Lord of the Rings Extended + Theatrical 4K

I do. Fun fact but I had no idea that my pokemon games are now expensive. Pokemon Leaf Green is almost 300 dollars.

I mostly collect games, I don't think I have a single blu ray of a movie or a show.

Oban Star Racers Blu Ray did catch my eye so I'll look out for it.

I haven't bought a DVD in a long time, but did have a pretty good collection at one time. Unfortunately they have been disappearing the the place I have them stored whenever the is a large group of Family down, I guess some of the younger ones see them and take them home.

Too many to mention.

Streaming is worthless and will never get a cent from me.

so many cant list em all here
garage sales and library sales are easy way to get 50 cent or dollar movies, plus walmart for tv box sets for 20-50 of stuff like office, monk, house, stuff like that

Bros out there making fortunes selling off their physical media collections from the 90s-2000s!

I only collect movies, CD's and vinyl these days. Collecting physical games is pointless now as most games need to be connected online to be activited. Apart from Nintendo switch games, they can still be considered collecting.

I'm somewhat of a collector myself. Yup, got Super Mario Bros. the live action movie on VHS. I save that bad boy for special occasions, such as trying to impress a hot date. However, not many seem to appreciate the enthralling goomba theatrical performance. But that is a whole other conversation capable of lasting many hours...

I don't like how badly edited streaming is that will cut several minutes from a show to fit in more adverts without any thought to the continuity of the episode and how it affects the viewers enjoyment. I still watch Scrubs, Voyager, Friends and Simpsons but keep all the boxset DVDs instead of paying for streaming. I was going to subscribe to Netflix so I can watch Monk but am going to buy it from CEX instead.

ive got about 200+ of my favorite blu rays in storage from the good ol days when redbox and netflix were selling off all their stashes for $2-$5.

I gave away all my old games/systems years ago to kids who would get more value from them than any eBay listing would ever bring me, i only hope their parents didnt sell it.

Yes to some degree, a few old movies, many old games.
I still have a few box filled with dvd and sometime I buy physical retro games for my evercade EXP.

I also like handheld that have inbuilt games , especially if they're using AA or AAA batteries since it's very easy to find rechargeable batteries now.

I was always taping stuff off TV when I was younger.
I couldn't even tell you how much I have. :steamhappy:
Tennis, and other classic sporting events.
Movies, and history shows.

I do also buy some DVDs of old TV shows too.
MASH, Mary Tyler Moore show.
I'm working on that.

No. Mainly because I am apathetic to modern media in general. Also, a lot of my old DVDs and video games from the 2000s don't even function. I'm already stuck with lots of useless discs. I don't need more.

I am done with physical media, unless you count copying all my music to USB drives for back up.
