What's up with this "sheesh" thing ?
I've seen this everywhere for the last couple of weeks. Where does it come from ? Is it meme-related ?

As far as I know, it originated on TikTok.
As far as I'm concerned, that's all I need to know.

there was a viral video of guys pouring water on a frog and saying sheeesh... but i don't even know if thats what started it or not

my guess is it came from rap culture. like "LESS GOOO" came from DaBaby, sheesh mighta came from a rapper?

No idea what you're talking about, but sheesh is just a word used for disbelief or something, similar to "jeez"

'Sheesh' is an English word that is used as an exclamation to express exasperation or unbelief.

The word, yeah, but this is about a particular way of performing it. Just a tiktok thing as far as I can tell.

Didn't the cat from Loony Toons say sheesh all the time? Or was it the duck... Someone said it.

You're thinking of Sylvester the Cat and he's probably said it a time or three (it was a more common expression back in the day), but I think Daffy Duck probably said it a bit more often.

According to Meriam-Webster, the first known use of the word "sheesh" can be traced back to 1955 and was used to express "disappointment, annoyance or surprise.

Sonic the Hedgehog say this in Sonic Adventure 2 so this is a pretty old saying.
