Your most satisfying video games

Hello, I want to ask, what are the games that have caused you to feel extremely satisfied, extreme sense of accomplishment at one point or another, a game that made you feel like you've put something in, and it's coming back, that you can see progress (Not talking about improving skills, dota per se). You know that feeling when you're playing Sims (Don't know how relatable that is, Sims player yuck lol) and you realize that you have 5 freaking houses and 7 generations in your family, like WHAT. I'm talking about that, evident progress and a sense that the game keeps going forever, that you can only go forward, and it only gets better.
Am I asking for too much lol? There has to be a game like that, I mean, isn't there always a game that fits someone, I think there is.

Thanks for the reply, I mean, I've tried M&B, it is open world and everything, but it's too damn repetitive, will look into the other stuff, thanks.

I've seen some great ones above like CS:GO, FTL and M&B. I would add another though risk of rain it's an amazingly satisfying game.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Beating Ganondorf in an epic sword duel was so satisfying. One of the best final bosses i've fought in my whole life.

I don't think of games in that way, OP. I consider them a means of entertainment and having fun. So for that, the Serious Sam series of games get my seal of approval.

The most satisfying game experience I ever had was my first corporation experience in Eve Online. That led to several years and my first ever gaming addiction. :)

Starcraft Broodwar is probably the most epic campaign I've ever played. The balance of difficulty seemed perfect to force you to grow just a little and really feel like you had accomplished something special when it all ended.

And right now I seem to be playing a lot of Defense Grid, my most played steam game. Tower defense is awesome fun. :)
