How many already got banned from Dragon Age Veilguard Forum?
are they gonna ban everyone who does not like the game?
Damn the mods will have a lot of work.....

Can people not at least agree that having game developers moderate discussions of their own products on what is supposed to be a third party distribution platform is at least problematic? It's like if Yelp allowed companies to audit their own reviews- there would be nothing but five stars.

I was banned for a month because I directed mild sting at trans people, and the moderator came out of the woodwork to ban my ass. You just don't talk ♥♥♥♥ about the protected species.

they'll community ban you.

people wouldn't get banned if they were polite, and following the forum rules. The public forums are not a place for rude, off topic posts, criticizing the game, slamming game related stuff, the developers, or the publisher. If you can not be polite, then send them a private email with your thoughts. If you don't like the game or what is in the game, then just don't buy it. Let your wallet do the talking. Just follow the forum rules and guidelines. It's not hard.
A friend of mine got banned for no reason. Literally.

Also the case that everyone who follows Asmongold gets auto-banned on their own site and forum tells you everything. You must be really living under a rock to not know such things but assume just everyone is rude because of this game.

It's just not the case that people get banned for no reason. There is a reason given in the notification of the ban. They broke a rule and got reported. Your trying to over-exaggerate the issue just like the streamer you mentioned.
That image you are trying to provide could be made more easily available if you uploaded it to steam as artwork then share it and it would draw in your post like a game screenshot, we could all read the reason that would be written there.

I did actually see a video from that streamer and it was about Dragon Age Veilguad where he made a deliberate choice during character creation, then proceeded over-exaggerate it as though he was forced to do it when that is not the case and he specifically chose to make that change to his character. No wonder with such misinformation from that streamer he was banned by the 'Dev's", kinda normal for that streamer as far as I am concerned.

If you go to McDonalds and constantly shout, that their Burgers are ♥♥♥♥, because their buns are woke, it is absolutely to be expected that Ronald McDonald will kick you out.
They wont do that, ever, just because you say in a calm chill way that their burgers are not tasty!
Meanwhile Dragon Age Forum..................
That is simply misinformation as well, any store has the right to remove anyone from their property and I have seen it happen at mcdonalds with a few kids 'just hanging around'. They did not buy anything and just milled around inside the store, they were asked to leave several times till the police were called and they were removed.

They simply changed it now so only people who own the game can post on the forum, which is super cringe.
That is also misinformation, only banned people can not post.

All that being said it really is easy to follow steams rules. I can boil it all down to two words Be Respectful but if you are unsure and want a complete list of the rules check the link below.

It isn't a ban from steam. At least not for my case, it is ban from devs or mod staffs related to devs. The steam support confirms this.

Oh, and I got banned for saying "Woke hate woman" in a "no chest slider" thread.

Devs or their staffs do not have to follow any rules for banning people, they can literally just ban people for posts they don't like. Just to be clear, there are more mean comments than mine not banned, it just happen that devs read mine and very upset about it.

I don't see any 'extra' rules in that forum so I do think it's just the steam rules that are being applied.
I guess the basic question might be, Is "Woke hate women" respectful ? I think you have the answer right there as to why a penalty may have been appropriate.
As to what instigated the penalty I would think it is because that comment was reported hence other "more mean comments" seemingly have no action taken although we can't be sure no action was taken on those either as it may have been some action that did not get those removed.

I will take that as funny and not an attempt to bait me into some confrontation with a moderator but to answer your implied question, yes I have been banned before and learnt my lesson.
Steam cares more about SJW developers than people posting on the forums, obviously.

it wasnt a bait. It was about the inconsistancy bordering random nature of moderation and support here.
No doubt EA pays money that Valve cannot turn down.

That's kinda what I was saying earlier. Who's opinion do they value more, the people actually giving them money or Jimmy from the Steam forums?

i mean their gamehub is moderated by either a Bioware employee or someone contracted by Bioware/EA. So its not really on Steam, they have always had a hands off approach to game hubs

Dude I got suspended from one of these and had my entire account threatened because I said, and I'm not joking, that the thread I was responding to was aggressive self-righteous and dismissive to other people's views on the game. That everyone who has problems the dialogue, worldbuilding, and obvious lack of content are not malicious and do not deserve to be spoken to in a derogitory manner.

Yes, THAT got my account locked for a month. A lot of these suspensions bans aren't from the devs, it's from steam support and the kind of people who flock to Veilguard's forum being the kind to spam the report button on anyone they don't like. With all due respect your view here is wildly naive on a forum that says any negativity of any kind fo other peoples post is a banable offence. "don't be mean," is not an easy rule to follow and you're a fool or in denial if you think it is.

Sorry to pick on you but seriously this mindset of victim blaming, and this is victim blaming, is a problem across everywhere.

Yes, THAT got my account locked for a month.
An account being locked is different than an account receiving a ban from forum posting for a month.
Knowing it wasnt going to be for me, I simply avoided it.

I watched Dan, Cohh, and a few others play it so I could see for myself. Then I moved on.
