Why does almost every game have threads about "SBI Detected"?

Seriously, I swear people are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ trolling when they create those topics, because half the time, SBI is actually NOT involved, or their involvement barely had any influence on the game, and people simply needed an excuse to hate it or claim that it did poorly financially because of said "involvement". I can't be the only actually getting sick and tired of these "is it woke" or "SBI detected" topics that are almost certainly trolling at this point than have ANYTHING to do with legitimate grievances against political correctness.

And of course, half the time they bring up Youtubers like Asmongold (because ANYONE would give a ♥♥♥♥ what some washed up Youtuber would say about a game) to somehow "defend" their argument just so they can justify their ridiculous paranoia and delusions. I mean, plenty of titles as of late had plenty of ACTUAL serious problems that could reflect poorly on the gameplay and people's willingness to buy it (SH2 Remake's poor performance, RDR1's expensive price tag, LiS: DE's questionable writing etc.) There's no way THIS particular "problem" is at the top of the list of why the video game industry as of late has been ♥♥♥♥. When people complain about UE5's performance issues, I doubt "woke" is anywhere on the list.

Good question. Notice how the people who create these threads rarely actually answer that question. It's like making a thread saying a game "insists upon itself" (yes, I'm referencing Peter criticizing the Godfather in Family Guy) but without giving an explanation of how or why, only simply wanting to be "contrarian" so they can justify hating it for no reason.

They're a consultancy firm with less than 30 employees. Hell, game devs actually have to hire THEM in order for them to be involved. So no, they do NOT break or make a game. Plenty of games have failed for one reason or another, but being "woke" or having SBI involved wasn't one of them. And no, their involvement or lack thereof would NOT have saved the game if the money was already not being properly used.

Ways I see it, they're a "conspiracy dogwhistle and boogeyman" for people who already are inclined to have a bigoted or prejudiced view of minorities or any individuals they don't like, and "SBI Detected" and "woke" is just a veil to cover that bigotry. I mean, half the time, none of them even offer proof that SBI was actually involved in the game. They just simply slap it on the forums, and all the trolls come out of the woodwork.
