I think anime is good.
The new zoomer fans created during the pandemic really don't understand the culture at all though.

Depends in the person / case per case basis, since some might go way beyond "hey i like this hobby or this particular series / character". Albeit is not the only entertainment industry sector, where a few folks could go that route.
