Witch Hunting is a ban offence on Steam. You should've just reported the user instead of spreading personal/user information on forums.

Actually you could report it by opening a ticket at steam help section. Upload any screenshot of the offense. Then Valve staff will look into it.

Anything that can be interpreted as a personal attack is bannable. I once got banned over the weekend for saying someone was "quite the character". I expect accusations of being a pedo qualifies as a personal attack no matter how justified you believe it to be.

You can report the profile if you feel it violates the rules, then block the user so you don't see their posts anymore. From there, you should move on with your life and don't dwell on it.
