The OP knows when it's writing a haiku. It knows this because it knows when it isn’t writing one. By subtracting what it’s written from what it hasn’t written, or what it hasn't written from what it has (whichever feels more artistically creative), it identifies a difference, or a deviation. The OP uses these deviations to adjust its words, shifting from a place where its haiku isn't to a place where it is. When it arrives at that new structure, the haiku that wasn’t yet complete, now is. Consequently, the haiku’s form that once wasn’t, now is; and the words that it once had, are now the ones it hasn't. If, however, the haiku OP is writing doesn’t quite match the intended form, the OP identifies a variation. This variation is the gap between the haiku as written and the haiku it wanted to write. If the variation is significant, the OP may tweak it further, adjusting the syllables or line breaks. But the OP must also know what a haiku was. The creative process works as follows: because a variation has shifted some of the elements, the OP may not be sure exactly where the haiku is in its final form, but it is certain of where it isn’t, within the guidelines of the 5-7-5 structure, and it knows where it was. By subtracting what it has from what it wants to express, or vice versa, the OP differentiates this from the sum of what isn’t working and what was, ultimately leading to the haiku’s final form: its balance of syllables and meaning, called art.

When I throw a pencil, it stays stationary and the universe moves around it.
it may also work if the missile use stars to know where it go
Not sure it knew where it was because 300 yds down the road is a far superior chip shop but hey
Who's there?
The missile.
I blame the scientists in the lab who were doing other things than serious encabulation.
