I had heard about this embracing of one's light and dark sides, unsure where I really stood on the matter.. not even realizing that throughout the years, my whole life really has been a marriage of the light and the dark. It's not to say that negative aspects of myself are nurtured so much as the darker side of me is tamed and with discipline can I explore any richness there is to discover there.
