We in online only games because online only games make the most money. With all the micro transactions, loot boxes, skins, battle-passes, sub and what not... way to much money to squeeze out of you rather than the one off payment.

It's crazy that companies implement features that damage the experience of paying customers to "combat piracy", but it's even crazier that paying customers just accept that and keep buying, it's their fault and no one else's.

Not true, companies are driven by pure greed, most people do not pirate anyway. People buy games because it is convenient, easy and cheap.
