I miss Old School FPS games like Killzone, Resistance or the old CoD/Medal of Honor games
Can anyone recommend games similar on Steam?

Kinda hard to put into words why I miss them, but I think it's when games were just made to be fun and didn't take themselves to seriously and didn't worry what cosmetic they can sell me.

1972 is calling.
Pong was one of the first plagiarised games. It was a clone of a game called Tennis for Two, for the Magnavox Oddessy.
Just about the whole Magnavox line-up was Atari copies.

OP, games were always made to earn money. And just as they were fun back then, games are fun nowadays.

Anyway, just play those "old school" games.

I'm 34. I'm not happy about it either.
Then you don't get to talk about "old school", kiddo. 😜
I've been playing video games since I was able to hold a controller. I grew up on and played every Generation except the OG Atari. I'm more than qualified to talk about old school. Though I don't exactly think Killzone or Resistance are exactly old school, but they technically are with how the games industry is.

I also would love to play the games I mentioned, but they aren't widely available except the first couple CoD's which are on Steam and I don't generally go the high seas route. Though it's starting to go that way again as these Devs are making there games less and less accessible. Same goes for TV and Movies with all these Streaming services. Went from accessible to not affordable.

Killzone is 2004 and Resistance 2005 or 2006 I think, that's not old skool.

I still have the PS2 with Killzone, though it's available on PS3 and PS4 as well. It's a PS franchise that's "dead", don't expect it to come to PC soon. Retro shops still sell such games, there is one in my city I often go to.

Personally I don't have an issue with games, tv, movies, etc becoming less accessible. If anything, there is way too much accessibility in that regard for me. And way too many games to play.
The new Space Marine game , while not first person, was very evocative of that era of gaming.
