Your thoughts on Clara Oswald spin-off

Clara Oswald is a made up character from the tv show, Doctor Who. She left the show to start new adventures on her own with the emortal Ashilda, in series 9. (New doctor who, not the classic) I only learnt this year that some fans are getting together since 2016 to write 13 fan spin-ff books for Clara and Ashilda. They announced the first release of the first book to be in early 2025. I'm excited for the release. What are your thoughts?

IF done by non woke fans.. who create more classic who.. that could be interesting..
but they would have to diverge and ignore any of the who junk released after 2019..

But I stll would not likely read them..
due the simple fact that.. even good scifi books are not exactly easely to obtain for me in the netherlands..
nobody sold the ds9 and TNG star trek books here back in the day.,. and buying them 2d hand + shipping cost like 300-1000 euro a book due them collectors items.. which is to rich for my blood..

and ofcourse just as I prefer books over the movie adaptation (like with LOTR).. the reverse is true also for things that started as movie... so there is that;)

fan run things can in todays world be the only thing to keep our culture alive.. though as we seen with axanar.. the powers that own the licence are usually quick to shut down fanfic if it actually delivers what users are hungry for and gets better than the the filth that is released by them.

I don`t like spin off`s, so idc.
Not a big fan of Dr Who either tbh, though in all fairness there are a few episodes that are pretty good, like the one where he uses an "eternity" to break the wall with his fists. Uber romantic.

Yeah, Doctor Who now has gone really dull. After Capaldi, the episodes were boring and the characters I didn't care about. I don't watch the new episodes anymore. Saw the first season with the black doctor, and then I knew that Doctor who was gone. In my opinion, Doctor who had it's run, It's been on our screen for 61 YEARS! I'm sorry, but I think it will end soon. In like 5 - 10 years. I don't think it'll make it to 100. Do you agree? But I love Clara Oswald, I'm gonna be reading the books. :)

I stopped watching torchwood with that gross gay kiss and bedschene.. had to vomit a little for real.
I not want to see that stuff nor have it be made normal.. keep that in your bedroom or better yet don't do it at all and repend..

I was ok with jack being bisexual.. and even with him doing a bit flirting with another man.. as he did in dr who..
but the kiss and bedscene.. they did in torchwood..

But the Clara Oswald: Untold Adventures are books. Not a tv show spin-off. (Though that would be great.)

Why? I agree that she got rather anoying when that Danny character came in in season 8, (I didn't shed a invisible tear when he died) But from season 9 she was terrific in my opinion, Why do you disagree?
