Trump confirms use of military force for mass deportations.
“President-elect Donald Trump has confirmed on his social media network that he plans to use the US military to carry out a mass deportation of undocumented migrants.
On Monday, he posted "TRUE!!!" in response to a conservative commentator who wrote that Trump would declare a national emergency and use military assets to lead "a mass deportation program".

Don't think he understands how easily that can be blocked. He seems to think he has unilateral power.

Ah... war on the streets. The American dream, realized.
The American dream doesn’t involve mass illegal migration or in this case, an invasion.

It involves secure borders as one of it’s fundamental principles.

I can't wait to see how this collides with the constitutional requirement for due process (and related) and the various workarounds that will be required to get it functioning on the ambitious scale desired. It's going to be absolutely fascinating from an intellectual and legal perspective

I just hope that the US Army doesn't turn into the US Army of Lawyers, because of it, as that sounds absolutely terrifying. Nobody would dare face them in combat

Due process is also one of the principles.

Guess that doesn't matter now?

Oh no. Can't enforce our sovereignty or borders then.
Pack up up guys. Time to give up on having laws and a nation or stuff like that.

Weird way to take what was said and turn it into something that wasn't said.

It’s not that complicated, it is a crime to enter the United States illegally, and since it’s a crime, the law has to be enforced. You do that by locating the person that broke the law. If you know where they are, you’ll send them a deportation letter, if they don’t show up in the due time, law enforcement, or in this case the national guard will knock on their doors and tell them they have to go. If they say no, you enforce the law by arresting them processing them and putting them on the plane back to their homes.

Where do you think is the complication here?

That isn't what was stated. Using 'military force' does not involve due process.

If the president declares a national emergency, the use of the national guard (military) is a due process. :steamdance:

No it isn't. It's military force to bypass due process.

The 20m people who are willing to arm themselves and organize themselves into a resistance. But whatever about that.

Your mind lives in a fantasy world.
