Doesn't work there's no 7 on the dice. At least any that's visible.
What would Johnny think when the parents give him Mario Party (3) only to find out it's the first one? I wonder if when making the real MP3 boxart it was taken into serious consideration the problems of the 1st one which is why they didn't repeat it. Back then Ninty had a much more competent team plus the team was much younger.
The 1st doesn't have as many options though to help you out. At least MP 2 and 3 made sense in the choices it gives you such as choosing the difficulty of mini games for the mood your in and bonus stars being on/off which can greatly effect the outcome. Mario Party 2 also fixed the rail car mini game so you don't fall off! I never won that one except in MP2 and it actually became a fun game. It was fatally flawed.
Well nobody has really mentioned it anywhere about the different options in the games which can greatly affect your adventures outcome. It makes each game play different as the computer has multiple branches in it's programming tree there.
Yes there is. It's on the side of the die closest to Mario's head in the picture. Part of it is obsfucated by the Y in party, but if you look at the actual box art for the game it's clearly a 7[en.wikipedia.org].
10 is on the top and 3 is on the side facing away from Mario. I configured the number from left to right since that's English reading order. Come to think of it though, you read top to bottom though so maybe it's Mario Party 1,073.
Anyway, it does look like others have made the mistake, including Nintendo.
