Education system should be more truthful to students
Imagine if we told K-12 that unless you have the brain of Elon Musk school is important and choosing a high paying career is necessary to sustain a good quality of life?

And if they think school isn't for them allow them to dropout and feel the consequences of their actions.

No need to spend billions on children who don't care or want to learn, and put that money towards scholarship to those who work their brains off.

Reading, writing and math. That's all we should be taught. 4 years of school should suffice. Everything else can be learned through life experience.
Why not stop demonizing every kid who can't become an Elon Musk, and start making it okay to be electricians, carpenters, plumbers, mechanics and HVAC again?\
You have to peddle false hope to students or else they will give up before earning enough money for the system to justify their cost of education.
Good (more elite) schools do this to an extent. They focus on scores to get them into universities or advise repeat if they aren't up to scratch with peers. It's because graduation scores are business marketing leverage to entice future students.
I believe near the end of your education (preferably high school) you should learn about life skills.
Schools are only supposed to teach you the core skills to figure ♥♥♥♥ out on your own. logic, reason, numeracy and literacy. Things you can learn on your own but are (in most cases) better taught in a structured environment. There's a saying that when all you have is a hammer, every problem is a nail. School shows you how to use other tools.
I can tell by the logic of this post the age is below 25.
The education system should also stop peddling unending student debt as the only way.

But without an educatuon, it's unlikely Elon Musk would be the incompetent businessman he is today, let alone a businessman.

Education is important for anyone. It would be better to raise money by raising taxes on multimillionaires and reducing military funding.

Unfortunately those consequences would extend to the rest of society, in the form of higher crime rates and welfare payments.

The western world is going through some stupid times at the moment. And it's our future children who are being harmed. Any child who is falling behind, needs to be kept behind until they are upto scatch and every child who is bright needs more encouragement but for some reason schools are failing all due to the leftest liberal mindset, trying to make all children equal is ruining the balance.

I have read articles and even bought them up on these forums that are saying it's racist to teach black children math and english as it a form of white supremacy and is harmful to minorities...

This is one such article dating back to 2021 from the dailymail.. they are more but im to tired to search..

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9717063/Educators-slam-math-workbook-claims-racist-ask-students-right-answer.html

Now MATH is racist: Educators condemn $1M 'Dismantling Racism in Mathematics' program funded by Bill Gates which tells teachers NOT to push students to find the correct answer because it promotes white supremacy

It centers around a workbook which asserts that asking students to find the correct answer for math problems is inherently harmful for minorities

This is so dumb, it can't be true... being able to math's, being able to read and write is seen as white supremacy ? Clearly is this though up by white liberals and aimed solely at black people and yet people are agreeing.

Not being able to read, write, do sums, add up and speak proper will simply keep you at the bottom and poor.
Schools should have basic education: Writing, Languages, 1 foreign language and math.

If the student is interested in other subjects then he/she would volunteer to learn the others and the state should provide this for free, but only to students who are completely interested.

Everyone needs to learn something, but not everyone is interested. If the current system in each country is working, then I think there is no reason to change it.
