Would you eat lab grown meat?
Cultured meat, a possible solution to clean meat, without the need for mass co2 production and the suffering of animals to harvest meat. It has many hurdles before it can become good, but if it were to become energy efficient, economically viable for people, and be made from the same stuff as regular meat, just grown in a incubator, would you consume it over meat? I would.

Why
Because it would be more healthy and with less risk
If it was identical in nature to beef, it would not be a risk to eat, nor less beneficial to your health

co2 is not a problem; we should release more co2, not less, into the atmosphere.

I would never, ever consider eating lab grown meat. I only eat real meat, I don't eat fake garbage.

You can create diamonds in a lab, are they fake? It is impossible to tell the difference once you have created one. Also co2 is a problem, just not for you, though you ar most likely a troll

But why
why would I want to eat lab grown meat when real meat exists???

I already fail to see whats wrong with eating actual animals like what will lab grown meat will solve other than satisfy some vegans who were already dying to eat meat for some reason

lab grown food will likely wont be a common thing for another century anyways until then i will continue to eat the meat I already trust.

god wouldnt put me on top of the food chain if he didnt want me to eat döner kebab
Because killing animals in mass is not very humane, and animals in live stock produce a very big chunk of carbon emissions

Getting rid of CO2 to save the planet is like Mao trying to get rid of birds to save the crops.

Farm animals are essential to fertilise the soils and produce vegetables / fruits.
Sure, I like critters...If you did not have to kill animals to make the base, I would give it a try...Killers for me would be that, it being overly expensive and simply unpalatable...It will never go mainstream but it might be a good alternative if economical...
yes and if it ends up being more affordable than livestock meat then i will solely eat that as my source of meat
Corporations pump all sorts of disgusting garbage into our food and people are now lining up to eat their next pet project? Yeah, no thanks.

Here's your lab grown meat with a side of seed-oils and inflammatory causing nonsense. Enjoy you peasant!

I stopped reading at "mass co2 production"
As a vegetarian who eats fake meat products (my favorite is quorn) I would try it but not until after a few years of it being publicly available
Tazor 21.11.2024 klo 7.57
Absolutely not. It's unhealthy. And will probably kill you. That lab grown "meat" is basically cancer cells multiplying in a vat. The "animal" from which that "meat" comes has no clear end result. No clear shape and function unlike real animals. No clear lifespan. It just keeps growing until they decide to slaughter it.
Suddenly the "I pay extra for organic" crowd wants to eat the least natural thing ever.
Anyway, real meat or no meat, I will not eat that ♥♥♥♥.

Soylent Green is NOT people. It's made from a fungus that grows on the corpse of people.
