The ps2 is 24 years old; people from back then are boomers now. There was no multiplayer, no updates, no online store. Nothing. Compared to now it's like steam engine vs electric. I declare the ps2 and dreamcast to be retro.

The internet and online multiplayer games absolutely did exist back then. Xbox had a TON of online multiplayer games, PS2 had a LAN adapter for use with some online games, PC online gaming was booming. Your argument isn't even remotely true.
