What was the most saddest boss fight you had?
Maybe the boss looked innocent, and you felt like you didn`t want to fight them, but you were forced to fight them, and possibly even kill them... Or someone else just ran up to the defeated boss and killed them.

I regretted fighting this cool dragon from a certain game. I always reget fighting dragons ;-;

Snake's tutor at MGS 3. Shw raised snake and calls him to kill her years later :'( (plus all the flowers turned red the moment you killed her)

LISA the Painful had a boss fight where you were forced to murder all your party members at the end of the game.

Depending on which party you used, the encounter was sadder.

Not exactly a boss fight, but when I couldn't convince Paladin Danse he was worth saving and then had to kill him that really got me.

I didn't feel quite so much for Kreia, but I'm glad I was able to convince Bastilla that Malak wasn't worth it at the end of Kotor 1, It took a long time to get that right.

I was gonna say that exact boss fight. Super emotional, even worse when you find out later in the ending what she did to defend her country as the truest form of a patriot and will never be recognised for it, but will instead forever be known as a traitor. Metal Gear Solid 3 had me in tears by the end.

Y'know, I don't think I ever felt any emotions of killing her, other than "YESS! I FINALLY DID IT!"

The value of spoilertagging content from a decade-old game in a thread whose title practically screams "spoilers lie beyond this point" seems dubious.

Yes, but spoilers about what exactly? It's a bit extreme to have beaten every single game I've ever been interested in to just go to a thread. Spoiler tags, better be safe than sorry anyways.

Cave Story. Killing Toroko, who is the cutest character ever, was really sad. I still feel bad about it.

Adoring Fan (for those of you few who don't know, Elder Scrolls Oblivion) was being annoying, as usual. I was having a really super bad day so decided to end him. It was not pretty. I took him up to the peak (we all know which one), and sent a level 100 arrow sizzling through his forehead.

Now I know adoring fan is NOT a Boss, but he IS Boss.

Shadow of the Colossus, the 4th and 13th Colossi in particular where the player was the aggressor. I felt more guilty than sad since they were both peaceful creatures until I stuck my sword in their backs.

Either of the bad endings from GTA5? Not really a boss, but certainly a culmination of the storyline.
