Got some elastics on my braces today. Hurts like hell. What do I do?

Drink a lot of really cold ice water. It helped numb my mouth.

The pain will go away eventually. Nothing much to do except take your average pain killers. At least you don't have spacers.

Cold water, ice cream.. That's what some people I know did to ease their pains with braces.

Eat and drink cold things to numb the pain. Pain killers are always useful. Don't try and force yourself to eat hard foods unless you need to, but practice chewing harder foods. It will go away naturally in about 3-4 days, but it's important to survive those few days.
