Age of Empires: Dawn of the Modern World

I would normally post this in the game forum, but since no one is really there, I posted here.


I am on Windows 10 and I can't seem to get it to work. I have patched it all up, and when I launch it, it will load all the game and show Activsion and right before it should load the main menu, it goes to my desktop and has a small black screen at the top left of my screen. Only option to get my screen back to normal, is a restart. Any ideas? I have tried runing in Admin, running it for Windows 7/xp. Wasn't sure if I am missing anything here. Thanks.

Is that a mod for Age of Empires?
Also you would have better luck in the AoE 2 forums. They are quite active.

if i were to guess, probably a resolution problem.

try changing it if there is an editable *.ini (backup first before making any change)

try running game executable in compatible mode with windows xp.
