android is a linux operating system ;) did just spot that they do have a seperate app though, didn't show up my first search on play for some reason. Is it giving an error message?

Personally I recommend using the google suite of utilitys over word anyway though, simpler syncing between all devices.

oh lol, it doesnt give an error message, it just opens then instantly quits, can't even see the sign in screen. interestingly, this also happens for powerpoint and excel, but not for onenote.

I'd try uninstalling/reinstalling then. sounds like maybe an OS update scrambled something.

I've found it. It seems that when i was disabling the bloatwares on the device, some are actually needed to run word. Anyways, thank you so much for helping:steamhappy:
