First Death of 2016

Congratulations to Brian Johns, Australian company director and managing director of the ABC, who passed away on January 1, 2016 at age 79 due to cancer.

(my grandma died on january 1, 1990.)

Undoubtedly there was some nobody that overdosed on drugs, got hit by a bus, commit suicide or broke into the wrong house that could claim the honors of being the first death of 2016.

But for a semi-notable death, sure, you could say it was the first.

I was gonna put first major death but I ended up not doing it.
