Looking for fun games that require little attention.
I'm looking for games that I can play on the side while I do other things without me having to pause the game or restart/reload all the time cause the game punishes me for not paying attention. (Preferrably not turn-based)

I know of two such games: The Sims and Crusader Kings 2.

I'm looking for more though and I hope somebody knows of some gem that has successfully evaded my gaze so far. :)

P.S.: It doesn't necessarily have to be on Steam.

:happymeat:

this is a slightly evil suggestion, but ... any clicker game would fit the bill. but I guess it might not be your cup of tea and all that.

Yep not really my cup of tea. Thanks for the suggestion anyway. Maybe somebody else is gonna read your comment and start playing Clicker games. RIP :steamhappy:

I guess most turn-based games fit the bill and I'm surely gonna play one of those when I get tired of CK 2 and Sims. :)

I'm still thinking about this...
do you want the game to sort of keep running and make changes in the background then?
but not, "game changing" changes so to speak?
or, no wait anything else would quickly turn out to be turn based wouldn't it. hm.

Actually - Clash of clans. It does get fun from time to time.

I have an idea. plague inc. evolved.

this game, has speed settings and if you choose to have the slowest (but not paused)
it's not too bad for background. you'll lose a bit, and stay away too long might not be all that great, but still.

another that can function like that is "Big pharma"
building a factory... speed settings makes for a long game if you'd like.

*edit* - and both games are plenty fun if .. you like them. as if that wasn't obvious. sorry.

Also, "Banished"

the none violent city builder. (no wars, plenty of disasters. I like it)
