Yeah, banana bread tastes better than it smells. Weird because taste is mostly in the smell.
I like banana. Just to unlock some items. :bird:

It does not smell good, but banana pancakes are heaven.

Same thing goes for fried green tomatoes. Tastes good though.

Ugh. I'll add Okra to that list. Tastes fine, but I am leaving the building if you are cooking any.

Can't say I've ever cooked a banana... why? just why... wouldn't it caramelize?

Consider adding brown sugar, dark rum, vanilla essence, and/or cinnamon during the cooking process. Logically that would add to the smell and taste.

Agreed.

Some culinary experiments are best left for the aliens observing us.

If you just made that up, you just came up with Bananas Foster. Or close too it...

Never understood the fried or grilled banana thing. I won't lie... I probably would try it, if it was offered, but I think I'll stick to fresh banana and banana chips.

Cry more, banana hater! :steammocking:

But seriously, i don't think bananas are meant to be cooked at all. They are like nature's fast food...

Banana chips are delicious and healthy! Have you ever had banana poofs? Like cheesy poofs but dusted with banana flavor instead of cheese. I can only find them at my local asia market, but they're pretty good.

Banana pudding is also great! With vanilla wafers.

Bananas Foster? Never heard of it, but might try it one day. Yeah, just made it up as it seemed logical they would work together well. I've caramelized raw sugars, etc - just went from that.
